
Ukonkivi in lake Inari in Finnish Lapland
Ukonkivi, or Ukko’s rock in English, is located in the vast lake of Inari in Lapland in Finland. By the indigenous people of Lapland, Saami, it was considered an important sacred natural formation and was used as a sacrificial site, possibly up until the 19th century.
