Madrid : Three kings parade
VIDEO: Three Kings parade / procession in Madrid – Christmas in Spain
The Three Kings Parade, called Cabalgata, is held every year in Madrid in Spain on Jan. 5. There are about 20 beautiful floats, filled with children and adults in nice costumes, who throw candies. Most towns in Spain arrange colorful parades representing the arrival of the Reyes Magos (three kings) to town. In Spanish tradition on January 6, three of the Kings: Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar, representing Arabia, the Orient, and Africa, arrived on horse, camel and elephant, bringing respectively gold, frankincense and myrrh to the baby Jesus.
