Celebrations of St. Nicholas in Nancy

At the beginning of December, the Town of Nancy in the Lorraine region, in France, celebrates Saint Nicholas. There is a great Christmas parade: Saint Nicholas makes his arrival to the Stanislas square, and standing from the balcony of the Town Hall, where people can see him.

In Lorraine, Saint Nicholas is a very popular tradition. Every year, more than 100,000 people take to the streets of Nancy during the two days of the St Nicholas' celebrations. During the Saint Nicholas parade, people can see the beauty of the Stanislas square, which is one of the jewels of the 18th century and part of UNESCO World heritage.
