Ded Moroz, Russian Father Frost in Veliky Ustyug in Vologda region

The city of Veliky Ustyug in the Vologda Oblast (region) in Russia is the home town of Ded Moroz, the Russian Father Frost.

In 1998 Ded Moroz settled in Veliky Ustyug, so his Votchina (wooden palace in the pine forest) and his city residence was built. Everybody can visit Ded Moroz any time during the whole year. November 18 is the birthday of Ded Moroz, and special celebrations take of course place.

Finnish Santa Claus, Joulupukki, and Ded Moroz, the Russian Father Frost, are old friends and meet each other regularly in Lapland in Finland or in Vologda Region in Russia.
