The Swedish Lapland (Lappland) is a non-administrative area that covers parts of the two administrative regions (läner) of Northern Sweden, Norrbotten and Västerbotten. In the Swedish Lapland, the population density is even lower that in the Finnish Lapland (Lappi), and the landscapes are wilder and the mountains are bigger. Perhaps the most well known tourist location in the Swedish Lapland is the Jukkasjärvi Ice Hotel in Kiruna. (www.icehotel.com).
