The Siberian Husky is a medium sized, dense coated working dog breed that originated in eastern Siberia. It is recognizable by its thickly furred double coat, sickle tail, and distinctive marking.

An active, energetic, and resilient breed, the husky's ancestors came from the extremely cold and harsh environment of Siberia. Siberian huskies are very popular in the Finnish Lapland and in Northern Scandinavia in general.
